Sound Healer and Reiki Practitioner Hertfordshire

Hi, I’m Katie and I’m an accredited Sound Therapist, Reiki Practitioner and Holistic Coach.

My approach weaves together mindfulness and meditation, lessons from observing the four elements and nature as well as incorporating Eastern healing traditions to support the body in softening, the mind in relaxing and the soul in awakening. I’ve created a signature clove+clay healing philosophy which honours the cyclical alchemy of Intention, Sound Healing, Reiki and Divine Guidance which is why you will find all treatments contain a unique blend of these restorative practices.

I’m fascinated by the intersectionality and relationship between our internal world and the places we inhabit and believe there is so much power to be had from intentionally designing spaces that better support our well-being. My home studio in East Hertfordshire, has been designed with intention and love with healing at its core. It is a calming and cosy sanctuary where you are invited to just surrender to all that you are holding, to relax and let go.

I am so passionate about the positive impact of holistic healing, somatic breath-work, journaling, connection to nature, meditation and mindfulness as well as taking small steps each day towards discovering our authentic self. I wholeheartedly and undoubtedly believe that these holistic practices, twinned with talking therapy, lead us towards a space of consciousness, peace and nervous system regulation. Which is why I so love the work I get to do as a holistic therapist.

If you’re looking to relax and destress, are a new mum and need some time just for you, want to reconnect and slow down, are looking for a treatment to release stagnant energy and trapped emotions in the body due to trauma or are looking for a calming and meditative practice to support an anxious mind - send me a message. It would be an honour to support you and guide you back home to yourself.

More about me and my story of how I came to be a healer and creator of holistic homes.

Growing up I didn’t feel connected to my home, and perhaps that’s part of the reason I hold such a fascination with how we relate to the places we live in. And as I moved through my teens and early twenties I was in pursuit of that feeling of home - both on the inside and through the spaces around me. I’m fascinated by the way these two worlds of internal and external ebb and flow from one another. They have a relationship that crosses over in ways that I sometimes find hard to express, for it feels so profound and spiritual to me. And I will forever hold an open curiosity and hunger for knowledge on why we behave the way we do, and how the way we design spaces can positively impact our lives.

I’ve always been passionate about the external - historic architecture rich in history and spaces with an aesthetic rooted in feeling. But it wasn’t until my early twenties that I began to turn my attention inward and started to nurture what is now a passion for human behaviour. As a highly sensitive being, I began to get introspective as a means of understanding the constant whirr of anxiety I felt within.

I believe that often in life, what leads us towards our passions is our lived experiences, and I’ve certainly found this to be true. I knew quickly after venturing down the path of spirituality, energetics and holistic therapies that I wanted to be part of the web of lightworkers healing the collective. And I discovered that my sensitivity and empathetic nature could help others if I were to pursue what I was becoming so passionate about - Sound Therapy and Reiki. And so that’s what I did.

what heals is going inward, loving yourself, accepting yourself, listening to your needs, addressing your attachments and emotional history, learning how to let go, and following your intuition.

Through my journey, I’ve gained a grounded trust in the wisdom of these holistic practices. And I’ve come to deeply believe that the work we do to understand and take care of ourselves as individuals, to make sense of our trauma, our lived experiences and our minds, bodies and souls, has a greater and more divine purpose for the world.

The narrative that led me to this present moment is a softly rumbling presence that empowers me to compassionately hold space for any person who feels the call of the sound bowls, the call of reiki or the call of stillness.

I believe we have to do the inner work if we want to change.

And I know that change is possible.

There is light and there is hope.

Through the continuous and ever-evolving journey of deep introspection, I’ve learnt that when we tend to our wounds and nurture our curiosities, they can develop into sincere and profound passions.

And for me, that’s the alchemy of these two worlds:

The human experience / our inner landscape.

The spaces we inhabit / our external landscape.

And you? What’s your story? If you’re feeling curious about the power of holistic healing and how it could support you as you turn inward - take a look at my offerings. I’d love to hear from you
